Poor Food Choice Day

March 29, 2010

Well, it’s Monday. It was a long, rainy Monday. All in all, it was a decent day…I just feel like crap right now because I made some really poor food choices today.

It started out good-For breakfast I had a homemade english muffin, an egg and a handful of blueberries. Snack time brought a banana and some peanut butter pretzels. Lunch was a TASTY bread cone filled with grilled chicken salad and alfalfa sprouts and a mandarin orange on the side:

When one of my office mates found out that I was going to be photographing my lunch she kindly cut my orange for me all fancy-like 🙂

Everyone was so impressed with my bread cone. Good thing I brought extras!! Here’s Pam with her bread cone:

And Jake with his bread cone:

Here Jake is saying “It’s like a croissant you can stuff things in! Fantastic!”

It was after lunch that things decided to go downhill. You see, when you work with your BFF like I do, we tend to egg each other on. Literally. I found out that Jake had never had a Cadbury Creme Egg before, and since I have a SERIOUS OBSESSION with Cadbury Creme Eggs, I decided that I would go buy us some. And some Reese’s peanut butter cup eggs (at Jake’s request). So I ate one of each. (Oh, and Jake is now a fan of the Creme Egg, thanks to me, even proclaiming that they should be sold all year long) Then I ate an apple hoping to wash away the candy sins. All it did was make me feel sick.

I was pretty busy at work all afternoon and I did walk about a mile and a half. After work I had to go to Michael’s craft store to buy some things for work. Unfortunately the nearest big city where there are actual stores is 40 minutes away. Here’s where the food choices go from bad to worse. After the Michael’s excursion, the BF and I were starving so we chose to eat at Hooter’s. We had an appetizer of fried pickles (!) and I had boneless wings for dinner. Luckily I decided I didn’t really like the sauce too much so I only ate a few.

We finally made it home around 8:30 and now are relaxing and playing with the dogs.

Have a great night!
